KIRA BRONSTON
About
Hi! I'm Kira, a UX Designer and UX Researcher based in San Francisco, CA
WHY UX DESIGN?
After a 20+ year career in Marketing and Product Management, I was drawn into the UX Design field for its human-centered approach to problem-solving. Driven by empathy I have always been a steadfast customer advocate, so putting the user at the center of the design process made complete, logical sense to me. But I also find that I love the human connection that comes with user research and am continually fascinated by the unexpected revelations that emerge from user interviews and usability testing. I truly enjoy identifying the problems users are experiencing and helping to design solutions that make their lives easier and more joyful. Doing so feeds the nurturer, the puzzler, and the creative in me.
Although my pivot into UX Design and UX Research is relatively recent, I have worked with creatives and developers my entire career, and I bring along a reputation for being a strategic, analytical, and creative problem solver with a proven history of creating products or programs that have significantly increased user engagement, business growth, and corporate savings.
I am happiest working in a team environment, strongly believing that collaboration sparks more ideas and greater potential for solutions. And, I have demonstrated the ability to effectively collaborate as well as lead cross-functional teams and external partners through complex initiatives. Good communication is a key factor in my process.

Additionally, I have experience working in different business environments...start-ups, agencies, and large corporations, across a broad array of industries including education, technology, fashion, entertainment, publishing, banking, fitness, solar energy, gaming, and more.

Ultimately, I believe that good user experiences inevitably lead to positive business impacts. So I’m committed to understanding users’ needs and helping to design digital products and experiences that solve human problems, delight users, and aid businesses in achieving their goals.
OUTSIDE OF WORK...
...you can find me running through Golden Gate Park while listening to a great book or podcast, exploring the many beautiful trails in the Bay Area with my husband, rock climbing with my awesome family, playing tennis (my new favorite sport), happily obsessing over some puzzle or the news on my phone, or complaining about our adorable but annoyingly destructive cats.
I am also very passionate about food recovery and I volunteer weekly to ensure good food is not wasted and that people in our community who need food are able to get it.
